Lab2Market

Artificial Intelligence (AI) research is having a major impact on society and the economy. The number of new companies is growing, and they often come to market with new and even disruptive products, services and business models. Reaching the market from research is particularly difficult, even more from public research, which is why ECAI2020 wants to visualize and support these research-based entrepreneurial initiatives (startups, spin-offs and even companies being incubating) around AI, that have emerged from both public and private entities. To this end, we will organize From Lab to Market (Lab2Market), which will include the participation of the main actors: recently created or being incubating startups and spin-offs, as well as the agents of the R&D-based entrepreneurship ecosystem: universities and public research centers, investors, public policy makers, already consolidated companies, etc.

Lab2Market will offer these stablished or incubating companies the possibility of exhibiting their products, speeches and panel with experts about funding opportunities, and a pitch competition.
